Data processed by the app

Users may save entry times, cigarette and drink details, costs, custom drink presets, notes, tags, and app settings. This information may relate to the user's habits and lifestyle.

Where data is stored

All entries and settings are stored locally on the user's device in the app database. The ViceMark developer does not receive, collect, or transmit this information to developer-operated servers. No account is required.

Exports and backups

At the user's explicit request, ViceMark can create a JSON backup or CSV export. Android system sharing lets the user choose another app or storage location. Further processing is governed by the privacy policy of the service selected by the user.

When restoring a backup, ViceMark reads only the file explicitly selected by the user through the system file picker.

Internet, analytics, and advertising

The current version of ViceMark contains no accounts, cloud synchronization, advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, or trackers. Core functionality does not require an internet connection.

Device access

The app uses the system file picker and share sheet only for user-initiated import, export, and backup operations. The Android widget stores the state it needs locally on the device.

Retention and deletion

Data remains on the device until the user deletes entries, replaces the database by restoring a backup, clears the app's data, or uninstalls the app. Uninstalling without a backup may permanently remove local data.

Children

ViceMark is not intended for children. It concerns the tracking of tobacco and alcohol and is intended for adults.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, this policy and its effective date will be updated. The policy and Google Play Data safety declaration must be reviewed before adding advertising, analytics, payments, or cloud functionality.
